This four‑day guided Colorado Trail mountain bike trip takes riders along the southern sections of the Colorado Trail through Segments 25–28.

Covering approximately 75 miles of nearly continuous singletrack, this fully supported adventure blends high‑alpine vistas, flowing trails, technical descents, and rewarding climbs in one of Colorado’s most scenic backcountry corridors.

Each day’s ride ranges from about 17.5 to 21 miles, offering manageable yet satisfying mountain bike terrain that typically takes 4–7 hours to complete.

Riders set their own pace while a guide follows behind to offer minor bike repairs, first aid support, and route guidance as needed, making the experience both empowering and well supported.

Evenings are spent at fully supported campsites located right on The Colorado Trail.

There is no shuttling during the trip. Gear is pre‑delivered to each camp and riders can relax, enjoy fresh meals prepared by guides, and recharge for the next day of riding. With warm summer days, cool nights, and long daylight hours, late August provides ideal conditions for exploring this iconic mountain route.

This trip is designed for intermediate to advanced mountain bikers who enjoy challenging singletrack, scenic riding, and the satisfaction of completing a mult-day ride.

Riders should be comfortable with a mix of climbs, technical trail features, and long days in the mountains.

This guided mountain bike trip follows The Colorado Trail from Waterton Canyon to Georgia Pass covering all of segments 1,2,3, and most of segments 5 and 6. 

This trip offersriders a fully supported multi‑day mountain biking experience on some of the most scenic singletrack in Colorado. The route showcases a mix of forested trail, ridgeline riding, and high‑country views as you explore classic Colorado Trail terrain.

Over three days, riders encounter a variety of terrain, including open meadows, pine forests, smooth singletrack, and scenic climbs and descents that highlight the rugged beauty of this portion of the trail.

Each day provides a satisfying blend of challenge and reward, with opportunities to enjoy panoramic mountain vistas and flowing trails that make this section of the Colorado Trail a favorite among mountain bikers.

Throughout the trip, a CME guide rides with the group to offer support with route knowledge, minor mechanical assistance, and general trip logistics so you can focus on the ride and scenery.

Frequently asked questions about our Mountain Bike Trips

Our guided trips explore both the far northern and southern segments of the Colorado Trail. Our Waterton Canyon to Georgia Pass trip covers Colorado Trail all of segments 1,2,3 and some of segments 5 and 6. Our Molas Pass to Durango Trip covers all of segments 25, 26, 27, 28. 

These trips are best suited for experienced recreational mountain bikers. Riders should be comfortable with moderate to long climbs, technical singletrack sections, and several hours of riding each day at high elevation.

Each trip includes professional CME guides who provide route knowledge, mechanical assistance, first aid support, backcountry glamping campsites, and fully managed logistics. Riders can focus on enjoying the trail while guides handle the details. All meals are included during the trip and we do everything to make sure you're just focused on riding your bike and having a good time. 

We recommend a full-suspension bike with reliable gears and brakes. Bikes should be in good mechanical condition, as trails include climbs, descents, and occasional rough sections. Those who are hardtail diehards are welcome to ride the trail with us on their rigid frame bike of choice.

Riders stay at a combination of backcountry and reserved campsites. Campsites are selected for comfort, safety, and scenic value, giving riders a chance to relax and enjoy meals after a full day of riding.

Daily distances vary by trip segment, typically ranging from 15–25 miles. Each day combines climbs, descents, and scenic singletrack, with ride time averaging 4–7 hours depending on pace and terrain.
