Rather than focusing broadly on scenery or general sketching, these retreats are entirely dedicated to the art of botanical observation and plant illustration. Designed for artists who want to deepen their ability to see and accurately draw plants through direct study in their natural alpine environments, the experience centers on slowing down, looking closely, and translating what you see into clear, confident line and form.

Private Group Art Trips

Interested in organizing a private art retreat with Colorado Mountain Expeditions? We occasionally offer custom private group trips for organizations art clubs and friend groups but availability is limited. Our guiding calendar fills quickly and our partner artists maintain busy teaching and travel schedules so private departures must be planned well in advance.

Because these trips are fully customized from location and lodging to instruction and logistics they represent a meaningful financial investment. If your group is ready to commit the time planning and budget required we would love to explore creating a one of a kind art adventure together.

Our summer 2026 calendar is nearly full, but beautiful fall dates remain available in September and October in both Colorado and Utah.

To inquire about private trips please email: info@ColoradoMountainExpeditions.com
